Getting Started

SoccerCoach Guru is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — it installs directly from your browser with no App Store needed. Follow the steps for your device below.

On some Android devices Chrome will show an Install App banner automatically — tap it to install in one step.

During the beta period, SoccerCoach Guru requires an access code to sign up. Your coach or team manager will provide the code for your team.

If you're not part of a beta team, contact us to get on the waitlist for general availability.

SoccerCoach Guru uses passwordless sign-in. Enter your email address and we'll send you a 6-digit code. Enter the code in the app and you're in, no password to remember or forget.

Each code expires in 15 minutes and can only be used once. Once you're signed in, you'll stay signed in on that device for 30 days.

Just sign back in with your email and a fresh 6-digit code. Your account, training history, stats, and personalization come right back, nothing is reset or deleted. On a new device, you'll re-enter a few personal touches like your jersey number and team color, but your training data is always there.

Codes usually arrive within a minute. If yours hasn't shown up:

  • Check your spam or junk folder, and any "Promotions" tab in Gmail
  • Confirm you typed the email address correctly (no typos, no extra spaces)
  • Wait two minutes, then request a new code (the old one will stop working)
  • Add [email protected] to your contacts so future codes don't get filtered

Yes. Sign in with the same email on your phone, tablet, or another device and your account, training history, and stats will all be there. Each device stays signed in independently for 30 days at a time.

Using the App

Ask Guru is a soccer-only AI assistant. It won't answer questions outside of soccer — this keeps it focused and useful.

Ask Guru is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI and is designed to answer soccer training questions: technique, positioning, session structure, drill variations, and more.

It is not a licensed coach or medical professional. For individualized training programs or injury-related questions, always consult a qualified professional.

Beta accounts receive a limited number of Ask Guru questions. This limit resets when you subscribe after the beta period.

Once you've built a session, the drill animations and instructions work offline — you can run a session on the field without a connection.

An internet connection is required to sign in, generate a new session plan, and use Ask Guru.

Yes. When you finish a training session, tap "I finished this session" at the bottom of the page. You can also rate how it felt with a quick emoji tap, or skip the rating. Each completed session is logged so you can see your progress over time.

On the home screen, tap the chart icon next to "🔥 N sessions this month." That opens My Stats, which shows your current streak, all-time totals, monthly bars for sessions and minutes trained, your top 10 focus areas over the last 90 days, and your weekly training rhythm.

A streak counts the consecutive days you completed at least one session, in your local timezone. The streak survives a one-day gap, so if you trained yesterday, today still counts toward your streak even if you take today off. Skip two days and it resets. Your current and longest streaks live in My Stats.

Yes. In your profile, add your jersey number and team color. The player icon in every drill animation will use them, so the figure you're watching looks like you on the field. Skip it during sign-up if you want; you can add it later in profile settings.

Turn on "Helper Available" when you build a session. We'll include drills designed for two people: things like give-and-go passing, back-to-goal turning with a server, and feeding/receiving patterns. Without it, you'll only see solo drills.

Any player who wants to train on their own, regardless of position, age, or skill level. Whether you have 20 minutes before school or 90 minutes on a weekend, the app builds a complete session tailored to what you have.

If you're under 13, a parent or guardian must provide consent before you sign up. Parents can also add their email address in your account settings so they receive billing receipts and important account notifications.

Account & Billing

We store the minimum needed to run the app:

  • Your email address and account status (plan, trial expiration, Ask Guru usage)
  • Your primary position and skill level, so we can personalize session recommendations
  • A log of training sessions you mark complete (focus area, length, drill count, optional self-rating, elapsed time, timezone), used for your streaks and stats
  • An optional parent email address, if you provided one, used only for billing receipts and account notifications

Your name, jersey number, team color, and full position list stay on your device.

We don't sell your personal information. We share data with service providers (Cloudflare, Anthropic, Resend, and Stripe once paid plans launch) strictly as needed to operate the app. See the full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details.

Planned pricing after the beta period: $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Beta participants will be notified before any charges begin.

Yes. Once paid subscriptions launch, you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep access until that date.

  • Monthly plan ($9.99/mo): access continues until the end of the current month, then ends.
  • Annual plan ($99.99/yr): access continues until the end of the paid year. Annual plans are not prorated, so canceling mid-year doesn't trigger a refund for unused months. You keep using the app through the date you originally paid through.

Either way, no charges happen after you cancel.

Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. If something has gone wrong, send us a message and we'll take a look.

If you're under 13: Yes. Federal law (COPPA) requires us to give your parent access to your data. Your parent gave consent for your account at signup, and they can review what we've stored or delete your account at any time at the parent portal: app.soccercoachguru.com/parent.

If you're 13 or older: Not directly. The app belongs to you, and your parent doesn't have access unless you choose to share your sign-in. You can optionally provide their email so they receive billing receipts and important account notifications.

If your child is under 13 and you provided consent at signup, you have full access at the parent portal: app.soccercoachguru.com/parent.

Sign in with the same email you used to consent. You'll get a 6-digit code by email; enter it on the portal and you're in. From there you can:

  • Review exactly what data we've collected about your child
  • See your child's training history (sessions, focus areas, Ask Guru usage)
  • Revoke consent and delete the account at any time, no questions asked

Lost the original consent email? Just go to the parent portal and request a new sign-in code with your email.

Email [email protected] from your current account email and let us know the new address. We'll move your account, training history, and stats over to the new email so nothing is lost.

Email [email protected] and we'll delete your account and any associated data promptly.

Tap the 💬 icon at the top of the home screen. Pick a category, Bug, Feature Request, Question, or Other, type a short message, and send. We read every message and follow up by email when needed.
